How do I connect Todoist to MONA?
Click Connect Todoist in Settings, then Integrations, and sign in to Todoist. The MONA agent can then read your Todoist to-do list in chat and add, complete, or reschedule tasks for you.
Quick answer: Go to Settings, then Integrations, click Connect Todoist, and sign in to Todoist. After that, ask the MONA agent "what’s on my plate today?" and it reads your Todoist. You can also ask it to add a task with a natural-language due date ("add: send the Canyon finish schedule to the architect, Friday"), mark one done, or push one to next week.
This is for designers who keep their personal to-do list in Todoist and want one place, the MONA chat, to see it next to their projects, email, and calendar.
Why connect Todoist to MONA?
Most designers already spend the day in MONA chat: answering client email, updating schedules, prepping proposals. With Todoist connected, the morning check of "what do I owe today" happens in the same place, and the follow-ups that come out of a client email or a meeting note land in your own list without switching apps.
Who can use this?
- Plans: every MONA plan, including Free.
- People: each person connects their own Todoist. It is personal. Teammates cannot see or change your Todoist through MONA.
How do I connect Todoist to MONA?
- Open Integrations. Click your profile photo in the top right, choose Team Settings, then Integrations. Or go to monaverse.com/settings/integrations.
- Click Connect Todoist on the Todoist card.
- Sign in to Todoist and approve access for MONA. You land back on Integrations with Account connected. The Todoist card shows your account and a Disconnect button.
What can I ask MONA to do with Todoist?
Open any MONA chat and ask in plain words. MONA can:
- Read your list. "What’s on my plate today?" "What’s overdue?" "What’s in my Clients project in Todoist?" "Do I have anything about the Hudson tile order?"
- Add tasks. "Add a Todoist task: call the upholsterer about the Smith sofa, tomorrow at 10." Due dates can be natural language, like "tomorrow", "next Monday", or "every Friday". You can also name a Todoist project and a priority.
- Complete tasks. "Mark the Smith sofa call done."
- Update tasks. "Move the tile order follow-up to Thursday." "Make the proposal review priority 1." "Rename that task to include the PO number."
- Find your projects. "Which Todoist projects do I have?"
If you have two tasks with similar names, name the project or the due date so MONA picks the right one.
When MONA works on something else for you, like reading an email or a meeting note, you can also say "add the follow-ups to my Todoist" and it creates the tasks there.
Is Todoist the same as MONA Tasks?
No. MONA Tasks is your studio’s shared task list, tied to projects, clients, and teammates, with a calendar view. See How do I manage tasks and deadlines in MONA?. Todoist is your own personal to-do list in a separate app.
Connecting Todoist does not copy tasks between the two. It lets the MONA agent read and update your Todoist when you ask. If a task belongs to a project and your team needs to see it, put it in MONA Tasks. If it is your personal list, Todoist is fine.
What it does not do (yet)
- No deleting. MONA can add, update, and complete tasks, but it cannot delete a task or a project in Todoist.
- No automatic sync with MONA Tasks. The two lists stay separate.
- No Todoist panel inside MONA. You work with Todoist through the MONA chat. The Todoist app is still where you browse and organize your full list.
- Personal only. MONA cannot read a teammate’s Todoist, even if they connected theirs.
How do I disconnect Todoist?
Go to Settings, then Integrations and click Disconnect on the Todoist card. Nothing in Todoist changes. If the connection ever expires, the card shows an expired tag and a Reconnect button.
