How do I connect Granola to MONA?

Click Connect Granola in Settings, then Integrations, and sign in to Granola. MONA imports your Granola calls as Meetings every 30 minutes. Transcripts need a paid Granola plan.

Quick answer: Go to Settings, then Integrations, click Connect Granola, and sign in to Granola. Every 30 minutes MONA imports the calls you captured in Granola into your Meetings page as normal MONA meetings, with a note, suggested action items, and the transcript, so the MONA agent can search them and draft follow-ups. Transcripts, and so the import, need a paid Granola plan.

If your studio already takes client call notes in Granola, this puts those conversations next to your projects, schedules, and email in MONA instead of in a separate app.

Who can use this?

  • MONA plans: every plan, including Free.
  • Granola plans: a paid Granola plan. Granola only shares transcripts on paid plans, and MONA imports each call from its transcript. On a free Granola plan the connection works but calls are skipped.
  • People: each person connects their own Granola. Their calls are imported into the studio’s Meetings.

How do I connect Granola to MONA?

  1. Open Integrations. Click your profile photo in the top right, choose Team Settings, then Integrations. Or go to monaverse.com/settings/integrations.
  2. Click Connect Granola on the Granola card.
  3. Sign in to Granola with the account you take notes in and approve access for MONA. You land back on Integrations with Account connected, and the Granola card shows your account with a Disconnect button.
  4. Wait for the first sync. Within about 30 minutes your Granola calls from the last 30 days start appearing on the Meetings page. A long backlog comes in a batch at a time over the next few syncs.

What happens to each Granola call in MONA?

Each imported call becomes an ordinary MONA meeting, marked as coming from Granola:

  • Title, attendees, and times from Granola.
  • The transcript, line by line with speaker names.
  • A MONA meeting note written from the transcript, plus suggestions (action items, products, decisions, client preferences, budget items, open questions) you accept or reject. An accepted action item becomes a task.

From there it works like any meeting in MONA. Open it and use Ask MONA on the meeting page, or ask from any chat:

  • "What did the Chens decide about the dining chairs last week?"
  • "Draft the follow-up email from my call with Sarah this morning."
  • "Make tasks from yesterday’s site walk call."

How is this different from the MONA notetaker?

MONA has its own notetaker that joins Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams calls or records in person on your phone. See How do I record meetings and get notes in MONA?. Use Granola if your team already captures calls there and does not want to change. You can use both. Granola calls come in through this connection, and calls MONA records itself are there as usual.

What it does not do (yet)

  • No audio. Granola shares the transcript, not the recording, so an imported meeting has no audio to play back.
  • Not filed to a project automatically. Imported calls land on the Meetings page rather than inside a project.
  • Not instant. New calls arrive on the next 30-minute sync.
  • Older calls. The first sync covers the last 30 days.
  • Read-only. MONA never writes to Granola.

Why are no Granola calls showing up?

Check these in order:

  1. Your Granola plan. On a free Granola plan, Granola does not share transcripts, so every call is skipped. Upgrade in Granola and the next sync picks your calls up.
  2. Timing. MONA syncs every 30 minutes, and a big backlog drains a batch at a time. Give it an hour after connecting.
  3. Dates. The first sync only looks back 30 days. Older calls are not imported.
  4. The connection. If the Granola card shows expired, click Reconnect and sign in again.
  5. The account. Make sure you signed in with the same Granola account you take notes in.

How do I disconnect Granola?

Go to Settings, then Integrations and click Disconnect on the Granola card. No new calls are imported. Meetings already in MONA stay. If Granola ever expires the connection, the card shows an expired tag and a Reconnect button.
