Can I text or call MONA from my phone?

Quick answer: Yes. On the Pro, Studio, and Unlimited plans, your studio gets its own MONA phone number. An owner or admin issues it in Settings, then Team, then MONA number, and links each teammate's cell. After that, text or call the number and MONA does what it does in the app: renders from a floor plan or photo, product sourcing, tasks and schedules, time entries, proposals, invoices, and client emails. A single call can run up to 90 minutes.

How do I get a MONA phone number?

The number belongs to the studio, so an owner or admin sets it up once.

1. On monaverse.com, go to Settings, then Team, and open the MONA number tab.
2. Optionally type a US area code in Area code (for example 212). Leave it blank for any US number.
3. Click Get a MONA number.
4. The number appears on the card with Text and Call buttons. Save it in your phone as MONA.

The number is included with your plan at no extra cost. If you are on another plan, the card explains how to upgrade. If you are not an owner or admin, the card tells you who can set it up, and you can ask them.

How do I let my team text and call it?

MONA answers people it recognizes. Under Teammates who can use it, an owner or admin links each person's cell:

1. Type the teammate's mobile number next to their name.
2. Click Link to link it now, or Text a code to send them a one-time code. Their cell is linked when they reply with the code. Codes last 24 hours.

A linked cell makes MONA answer as that person, with their access and their own chats. A phone number saved on a teammate's profile also counts.

Under Other numbers allowed, you can add vendors, field staff, or clients who do not have a MONA account. They get renders and conversation only, never your studio's data. Texts from anyone else are stored but not answered.

What can MONA do over text?

For a linked teammate, the same tools as the web chat. Some examples:

• Text a photo of a room or a floor plan and ask for a render. The render comes back as a picture in the thread.
• "Add two of the Lulu and Georgia sconces to the Hudson schedule."
• "Log three hours on the Park Slope project for today."
• "Draft the deposit invoice for the Chens."

You can send photos, PDFs, voice memos, short videos, and contact cards. Text new to start a fresh chat, or start over to clear the conversation. Naming a project keeps the text in that project's chat.

MONA still asks before anything goes to a client, the same as in the app. Reply yes in the thread when you are ready to send.

Can I call MONA?

Yes. Call the same number and talk to MONA. It is the same conversation as your texts, so MONA remembers what you were working on. Calls are good for running through a list of changes while you drive or walk a site.

• 90-minute limit. A single call can last up to 90 minutes. About two minutes before the end, MONA tells you. If it is in the middle of a request, it finishes that request before hanging up.
• Keep going by text. After the call ends, text the same number and MONA picks up where you left off.
• Long jobs. Ask MONA to do a big job in the background and keep talking. It starts the work in its own chat and lets you know when it is done.

What if I text while MONA is still working?

Your message waits its turn. If MONA is in the middle of a long request, like a set of renders, your new texts are held and answered in order as soon as it finishes. Nothing is dropped.

Where do my texts and calls show up on the web?

Each phone conversation is a chat in Ask MONA, titled SMS followed by your name or the project name. Group texts show as Group SMS. In the chat list, a small SMS or Phone tag tells you how it came in. Open it on your computer to see the whole thread, the files, and anything MONA made.

Can I add MONA to a group text with a client?

Yes. Add the MONA number to the group thread. MONA reads along but only replies when someone says "MONA" by name, and keeps talking with that person for the next few messages. That way it never answers a client in the middle of your conversation unless you bring it in.

Does it cost extra?

No. The number is included with Pro, Studio, and Unlimited, and texts and calls use your studio's normal AI credits, the same as a chat in the app. If the studio runs out of credits, MONA texts back a link to top up.
