How do I schedule MONA to do a task every day or week?
Open Agents in the left menu, describe the task under Create an agent, pick Daily, Weekly, or another frequency, and click Schedule. Each run uses up to 100 credits and leaves an activity log.
Quick answer: Click Agents in the left menu. In the Create an agent box, describe what MONA should do, choose a Frequency (Once, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly) and a time, and click Schedule. The agent runs on its own from then on. Each run is capped at 100 credits, creates its own chat, and shows up in the agent's Activity list. You can also just ask MONA in a chat: "every Monday at 9, draft my client updates."
Where do scheduled tasks live?
On the Agents page (monaverse.com/agents). Every recurring job in MONA is an agent: the ones you create, plus any MONA presets your studio turned on. Each one has an on and off switch, a schedule you can change, and an activity log. If you have an old link to the Scheduled page, it now opens Agents.
Use the All, Active, and Paused filters at the top to find an agent. A line at the top tells you whether all agents are healthy or some need attention.
How do I create a scheduled task?
- Click Agents in the left menu.
- In Create an agent, write what the agent should do in plain words. Be specific about what it should produce. For example: "Every Monday morning, chase any stuck purchase orders and draft the follow-up emails."
- Set Frequency:
- Once runs at a single Date and time.
- Hourly runs every hour.
- Daily runs every day at the Time you set.
- Weekly runs on the Day and Time you pick.
- Monthly runs on a Day of month from 1 to 28.
- Optionally add an End date, or set Retire after N quiet runs so it switches itself off after that many runs in a row that found nothing to do.
- Click Schedule.
Times are in your local timezone. Below the button, MONA shows an estimate of how many credits each run is likely to use.
For anything more involved, click Ask MONA in the same box. It opens a chat that starts with "Create an agent that", and MONA helps you write the instructions.
Can I set it up from a chat instead?
Yes. In any chat, describe the job and the timing, like "each day at 8am, summarize new leads" or "monthly, send me a P&L." MONA shows a preview first: the name, the schedule in your timezone, the instructions, and any existing agent that already does the same thing. Say yes and it creates the agent. One-off reminders on a single date become tasks, not agents.
What does a run look like?
Each agent card shows its schedule (for example "Runs weekly, Mon 9:00 AM") and a health line such as "Last completed 2 hours ago" with a short summary of what it did.
- Activity on the card lists every run with its status (running, succeeded, no_changes, failed, or skipped), a one-line summary, and when it happened.
- A chat per run. Every run creates a chat in Ask MONA named after the agent and the run time, with an Agent run tag. Open it to see exactly what MONA did. To hide these from your chat list, click Hide agent runs above the list.
- Run now starts a run immediately. Results land in the activity log.
- Edit schedule lets you change the timing; click Save schedule when done.
How do credits work for scheduled runs?
Scheduled runs use your studio's AI credits, the same as chat. To keep a runaway task from draining the pool, each run is capped at 100 credits. If a run reaches the cap, it stops and keeps anything it finished. If your studio is out of credits, the run is skipped before it starts and runs again on its next scheduled time once you add credits.
How do I pause, change, or delete one?
- Pause: turn off the switch on the card. It moves to Paused.
- Notifications: use Notify me on the card to choose Every run, Changes only, or Never. The studio default comes from Scheduled agent runs in Settings, then Profile. You always get a bell notification when an agent fails or stalls.
- Delete: custom agents have a delete button on the card. It removes the agent right away, so pause instead if you might want it back.
Will a scheduled agent send things to clients?
Only when you tell it to. A scheduled run sends an invoice, proposal, or purchase order only if your instructions say to send. Otherwise it drafts and leaves the result for you. Email replies are always saved as drafts in your own inbox. Sending texts to clients from your MONA number also needs the owner to turn on May send texts on that agent's card.
