How do I add my logo, colors, and fonts to MONA documents?
Go to Settings, then Brand. Upload your logo, add your colors as hex codes, and add your font files. MONA uses them on proposals, invoices, POs, decks, the client portal, sites and client emails.
Quick answer: click Settings, then Brand. Upload your logo under Logos, add your colors as hex codes under Colors, and add your font files under Typography. MONA applies them by default to proposals, invoices, purchase orders, schedules, decks, the client portal, the sites it builds, social posts and client emails. It never applies them to renders unless you ask.
You set your brand once. There is no per-document logo upload and no letterhead to rebuild for each proposal or invoice template.
Who can use this
- Every plan, including Free, has the Brand page.
- Owners and admins can edit it.
- Members can open it and see everything, with a note to ask an owner or admin to change it.
How do I open the Brand page?
Click Settings, then Brand in the left rail. The same editor also sits under Settings, then Team, then the Brand tab. Both addresses edit the same brand, so a change in one shows in the other.
At the top, What MONA uses today lists the logo, colors, fonts and voice MONA will use on the next thing it makes. If it says Nothing yet, MONA is using neutral styling and its own voice.
How do I add my logo?
- Under Logos, find the Primary slot. This is your main lockup and the one used by default.
- Click Upload and choose a PNG, JPG or WebP file. Or click Library to pick an image already in your MONA Library.
- Add the other versions if your studio has them:
- Secondary: an alternate lockup, for example stacked.
- Mark: the icon only, no wordmark.
- Reversed: a light logo for dark backgrounds. It previews on a dark tile so you can check it.
- Favicon: a square version for browser tabs and sites.
- Each logo saves as soon as you pick it. To take one off, click Remove.
Logo only, no studio name. If your logo already spells out the studio name, turn on Hide studio name on documents when a logo is set. Proposals, invoices, purchase orders, schedules, the client portal and the pay page then show the primary logo without the name beside it or in the page footer. Until a primary logo is uploaded the name still prints, so every document says who sent it.
How do I add my brand colors?
- Under Colors, type a hex value such as
#1a1a1aand click Add colour. - Repeat for each color. The order matters:
- Primary: buttons, links and headings.
- Secondary: backgrounds. The client portal uses this one.
- Accent: highlights and small details.
- Neutral: body text, rules and quiet surfaces.
- Click Save.
Colors must be hex codes. If you only have a color name or a Pantone reference, look up the hex value in your brand guide first.
How do I add my brand fonts?
- Under Typography, click Add font files.
- Choose your font files. MONA accepts .otf, .ttf, .woff and .woff2, and you can pick several at once (regular, italic, bold).
- MONA reads the family name from each file and lists it under Families, written in that typeface. If a family name shows in a plain default face, its file did not load.
To take a font off, click Remove next to it. The file stays in your Library, so you can add it back later.
Upload the real files rather than only naming a font. A name with no file behind it falls back to a default typeface on decks, portals and client links.
What else is on the Brand page?
- Voice: Tone, Always do, Never do and Notes on voice. MONA follows these when it writes copy, emails, proposals and site text for you.
- Boilerplate: Tagline, Short description, Long description and Email sign-off, reused word for word on decks, sites, proposals and the emails MONA drafts.
- Approved imagery: click Add from Library to pick the project photos MONA should reach for first in client-facing work. The first one leads.
- Payment instructions: who checks are payable to, remit-to address, wire details. Printed on every invoice you preview, download or send.
- Invoice template: upload a PDF or image of an invoice you like. MONA reads its layout once and every invoice after that follows it.
- Presentation defaults: a Studio standard deck new presentations start from, and Rules for every deck such as no vendor names or headings in all caps.
How do I put my brand on client emails?
Emails MONA sends clients, such as proposals, invoices, payment reminders and receipts, already carry your logo. To add your fonts and colors as well:
- Click Settings, then Finance, and find Client emails: your brand.
- Make sure Use our brand in client emails is on.
- Pick a Heading font and a Body font from the fonts you uploaded on the Brand page.
- Choose a Background color from your palette and type a Footer, for example your address, website, phone and Instagram handle.
- Click Save.
Some email apps, Gmail among them, do not load custom fonts and show a standard font instead. Apple Mail and Outlook for Mac show your fonts.
Where does my brand show up?
| Where | What it uses |
|---|---|
| Proposals, invoices, purchase orders, schedules | Primary logo, colors, fonts, payment instructions on invoices |
| Client portal and pay page | Primary logo, palette (secondary color as the background), fonts |
| Client presentations and decks | Logo, colors, fonts, voice, boilerplate, approved imagery |
| Sites MONA builds for you | Logo, colors, fonts, voice, tagline and descriptions |
| Instagram captions MONA drafts | Your voice rules |
| Client emails | Logo, fonts, background color, footer |
| CAD sheet title blocks | Primary logo, studio name, first brand font name, brand color |
Can MONA fill in my brand for me?
Yes. On the Brand page, click Ask MONA to fill this in from my website or brand guide. It opens a chat with the request already typed but not sent. Paste your website address or attach your brand guide PDF, then send. MONA fills in what it can find, and you can edit any field afterward.
What it does not do (yet)
- One brand per studio. If you produce work under a client’s brand, there is no second brand set yet.
- No brand on renders by default. Ask for it on a specific render if you want a logo in the image.
- No Pantone or color names. Colors are hex codes only.
- Custom fonts in Gmail. Gmail and Outlook for Windows ignore custom email fonts and use a standard one.

Frequently asked questions
Where does MONA use my logo?
On proposals, invoices, purchase orders, schedules, the client portal and the pay page, plus decks, the sites MONA builds for you, client emails and the title block of CAD sheets. The primary logo is used unless a surface needs another version.
What logo file types can I upload?
PNG, JPG or WebP. Use a transparent PNG for the cleanest result on colored backgrounds, and add a Reversed version (a light logo) for dark backgrounds.
Can I use my own brand fonts?
Yes. Upload .otf, .ttf, .woff or .woff2 files under Typography. A font name with no file behind it falls back to a default typeface, so upload the real files.
Can I remove my studio name from documents and only show my logo?
Yes. Under Logos, turn on Hide studio name on documents when a logo is set. Proposals, invoices, purchase orders, schedules, the client portal and the pay page then show your primary logo without the studio name beside it or in the footer. It only works once a primary logo is uploaded.
Does MONA put my brand on renders?
No. Your brand applies to client-facing documents, decks, portals, sites, posts and emails. Renders are left alone unless you ask for branding on one.
Who can change the brand settings?
Studio owners and admins. Members can open the Brand page and see everything, but cannot edit it.
Can MONA fill in my brand for me?
Yes. On the Brand page, click Ask MONA to fill this in from my website or brand guide. It opens a chat with the request typed in. Add your website address or attach your brand guide PDF and send it.
Is brand settings included on every plan?
Yes. Brand settings are on every MONA plan, including Free.
