Can MONA build my interior design website?
Yes. Ask MONA in chat and it builds and publishes a portfolio site from your brand and best work at yourname.mona.site. Paid plans can connect their own domain.
Quick answer: yes. Ask MONA in chat, or pick Studio website from the + menu, and it builds and publishes a portfolio website from your brand, your project photos and your services, at an address like yourstudio.mona.site. On any paid plan you can point your own domain at it. You change the site by asking MONA, not by dragging boxes around.
A MONA site is a real, fast, search-friendly website for an interior design studio: a hero, an about section, Services, Selected work, and a contact section with Book a discovery call and Inquire buttons that feed new leads straight into MONA.

More pages. A site can grow past the home page: services, individual project pages, press, FAQ. Each page can carry its own title and description for search results.
What is my website address?
Your site lives at https://yourstudio.mona.site, where yourstudio comes from your studio name. Very short names, city and state names and a few reserved words are not available, and a name that is taken gets a small suffix. The address is public to anyone with the link.
How do I connect my own domain?
On a paid plan:
- In chat, ask MONA "connect yourstudio.com to my website".
- MONA replies with the DNS records to add. For a root domain like
yourstudio.comit is usually an A record, plus a CNAME forwwwsowww.yourstudio.comredirects to the root. For a subdomain likedesign.yourstudio.comit is a CNAME. Occasionally a TXT record is also needed to verify the domain. - Log in to your domain registrar and add exactly those records.
- MONA checks the domain automatically and turns on HTTPS when the records are in place. This usually takes from a few minutes to a few hours. You get a notification titled with your domain followed by is live.
Your mona.site address keeps working the whole time. A domain can be connected to one MONA site at a time. MONA does not sell domains or host email, so keep your email wherever it is now and only change the records MONA asks for.
Where do website inquiries go?
The Book a discovery call and Inquire buttons on your site open your MONA booking page and contact form. Each inquiry lands in MONA as a contact, tagged with the site it came from, so you can see which leads your website brought in. If you rebuild an older site, MONA points its old contact links at your MONA form too.
To send an automatic reply when someone fills in the form, see How do I send an automatic reply when someone fills out my MONA contact form?.
Is a MONA site good for SEO?
Every MONA site is published as static pages on a fast global network and gets a sitemap, a robots file that lets search engines in, canonical URLs, structured data that describes your studio, share previews for links, and an llms.txt file for AI search tools. When MONA rebuilds an existing site, it keeps the same page paths, such as /our-work, so links and rankings carry over.
To add a blog, see How do I publish a monthly blog post and newsletter with MONA?.
Can MONA make a website for a client project?
Yes. In chat, choose Client site from the + menu under Client to make a page for one project, for example a care and maintenance guide, a project summary or a reveal page. MONA pulls in the project’s renders, schedule and your brand.
To share it, open the project, go to the Portal tab and find Client websites. Turn on Show in portal for a site so the client sees the link in their portal. If you make the same kind of page often, save one as a template from Library, then Templates, then Sites, and use New client site from template on the next project.
Client sites are public to anyone with the link, so do not put anything on one you would not want forwarded.
What it does not do (yet)
- No drag-and-drop editor. You change the site by asking MONA.
- No outside scripts or embeds. Google Analytics, Calendly widgets, YouTube or Google Maps embeds and third-party forms are not loaded on MONA sites.
- No online store and no password-protected pages.
- No domain purchase or email hosting. Bring a domain you own.
- A small Built with MONA credit appears at the bottom of every page and cannot be removed.
- No template gallery. Your studio site uses one editorial design, adapted to your colors and fonts. For something the design cannot do, ask MONA for a custom layout.
